Webinar Title: “Coding
Together with Swift”
I.
Details of the event/activity
The "Coding Together with
Swift" free webinar, which I attended, was held on October 9, 2022, from
1:00 pm to 4:00 pm. This was hosted by Mr. Arthur Tristan M. Ramos, a graduate
of the 2019 Gordon College class. organized by his group, the "Tech
Smurfs," a group of former Gordon College BSIT grads who are currently
employed as interns at EasyPos Solutions Inc. as junior iOS developers. He is a
full-stack developer and Pythomy's product owner. The Google Play mobile app
Pythomy provides free programming tutorials and classes.

Reflections on the webinar/activity give rise to (learnings)
The reason I decided to come to this
webinar was because it is a necessary component of our upcoming game
development project. Because Mr. Arthur invited the attendees to participate
the online programming activity and included a "question, topic, then
answer" format in each of his courses, "Coding Together with
Swift" truly is about "coding together."
It was a time well spent because Mr.
Arthur, a Full Stack Developer of "Pythomy," thoroughly explains each
line of coding. Mr. Arthur is well known for his successful coding abilities.
the advantages of Swift are introduced before the first demonstration of how to
open the language. The next step is how to write a simple syntax for a
straightforward issue, such as a code for a business-related issue. The data
types and casting required for Swift and how to quickly encode them. The use of
literals, variables, and constants in coding. Additionally, he discusses
fundamental concepts in programming, such as loops, operators, strings,
functions, classes, and so forth. In order for the participants to participate
actively, the host ensures that each topic will be virtually presented. In
addition, he ensures that we learn each topic and the fundamentals of coding.
Programming is a bother for me since
it takes so much work to code and to deploy simple programming without taking a
lot of time. Mr. Arthur helps us develop our skills by asking each participant
to code and respond to a specific activity in addition to teaching us in his mini-class.
III.
Reflections on possibilities on implementing some of the webinar input on a
practical level (practical application of learnings)
Swift is a programming
language developed by Apple Inc. for use in creating programs for iOS, MAC, OS
X, and other platforms. Our expertise is actually put to use in game creation
by what the webinar teaches. Since Swift is compatible with Apple Apps, our
game development project can be included in Apple since this project focuses on
Android and our programming knowledge is restricted to Android uses only. This
webinar gives us a ton of tips and advantages on why Swift is safe and
straightforward to develop in. Swift language offers significant
characteristics that could improve game development projects, as Mr. Arthur notes,
making it "a terrific alternative for future or a hobbyist game
creators."
IV.
Positive feedback (on the event organization)
Although I'm a student
studying animation, I should still take the time to watch this webinar. It aids
in my development of the coding abilities I could need for a future game
development endeavor. Mr. Arthur helped us better understand how the Swift
programming language works and provided us with fantastic advice for condensing
codes. When Tech Smurfs showed up on schedule, they invited us to ask questions
and gave us a small respite from each difficult assignment.
V.
Suggestions for improvements to be made/consider for future activities
It
was my first time to attend Mr. Arthur's coding webinars but I can say that it
is very successful because he does a better job of educating and describing the
various programming languages, and because his online activity lets us test our
programming abilities. It was a success, but my only suggestion is that he run
another programming webinar with a game development program focus so that we
can encode more. Overall, it was successful, and the Tech Smurfs team is always
improving.
