Reflection Paper                                                                          Webinar Date: Nov. 18, 2022

Webinar Title: “Animahenasyon16”

I. Details of the event/activity

The "Animahenasyon" webinar I went to was from November 18–20, 2022, and it was a paid event. The Animation Council of the Philippines sponsored a webinar, which I only attended Day 1 of (ACPI). They recruited popular comedy animators Pendipods and Arkin Animation as well as other Filipino YouTubers, while the Visual Development Panel was made up of industry veterans like Tito Romero, Michael Gorospe, and Hardy Gamboa.

II. Reflections on the webinar/activity give rise to (learnings)

This webinar inspired me to explore and improve on my own skill as a prospective student who studies animation as a career. I'm motivated to hear their stories, in other words. How they obtained their titles, how their careers got started, and what struggles they overcame to achieve the level of success they now enjoy in their careers.

As some of them said, animation is amusing but serious. Or it seems straightforward at first. If you don't comprehend the process and consistency necessary to produce works of this caliber, you won't typically get hired as an animator. And part of the process is patiently learning from your errors and taking criticism. You can do this to continue honing your skills as an artist.

In addition, they discussed their methods for creating animations, illustrations, and character designs. They also related funny stories and events that happened in real life but affected them as well, demonstrating that even though they don't frequently appear in public, they are somewhat a part of our society. And it appears to me that what they do (animate) is a means of communication for them with the local populace. Yes, undoubtedly or plainly, that is the reason they produce such fantastic satirical articles online and on social media.

III. Reflections on possibilities on implementing some of the webinar input on a practical level (practical application of learnings)

Like them, I would strive to improve as an artist. applying their methods and zeal to my own life. Moreover, to encourage others to develop their artistic abilities.I could work toward that aim by researching new methods. I may use a different artistic approach or start from scratch. My desire to make art in any medium, however, should endure forever.
The webinar made it clearer to me that I should stick to what I'm excellent at, which is background design, and that I still need more experience with animations.

IV. Positive feedback (on the event organization)

This webinar was well worth my time and money because it prompted me to think more deeply about my animation abilities. I was also moved by their friendly atmosphere and delighted to hear their triumphant and harrowing tales of struggle.

V. Suggestions for improvements to be made/consider for future activities

It would be nice if they also included any lectures or studies about how they produce animations and pictures.
