Webinar Title: “Elements of Creative Story and Script Design”
I. Details of the event/activity
Our team, Studio Pyros, organized the webinar, "Elements of
Creative Story and Script Design," which took place on December 15,
2022, via Google Meet. Our webinar is completed by Ms. Angel Rose Fernando, our
speaker and the leader/CEO of Studio Pyros. She is passionate about producing
stories and script designs.
II. Reflections on the webinar/activity give
rise to (learnings)
Ms. Angel Rose Fernando opted to express her
love in our most recent webinar, and she tasked me with leading the technical
and setup for the event and livestreaming. The program was executed expertly,
and we managed to keep everything running smoothly and on schedule. After a
15-minute waiting period for additional registrants, the program got underway
at 8:15. She gave an introduction to the audience before walking us through the
fundamentals of story creation and script design.
After outlining the fundamentals of writing a
story, she goes into greater detail about how to write a script for one, where
to put it, what font to use, etc. She then plays a video of an animation with
the script they were reading, which helps to clarify things because it allows
the students to see how the emotions of the characters can be seen through the
script the voice actors are reading.
III. Reflections on possibilities on implementing
some of the webinar input on a practical level (practical application of
learnings)
As a BSEMC student, all I can say is that Ms.
Angel Rose was very skilled at writing a story and a screenplay. Because BSEMC
students take a course called "Script Writing and Storyboard Design,"
this type of webinar will be very beneficial to them.
IV. Positive feedback (on the event
organization)
As one of the webinar's technical host, I believe
Ms. Angel Rose Fernando does a fantastic job because she is knowledgeable about
the subject and wrote the screenplay and script for our animation movie,
"Salinlahi, Padayon! ”.
V.
Suggestions for improvements to be made/consider for future activities
I believe the webinar went well
because, despite the small number of participants, the speaker led a good
conversation about the subject and the student actively participated. Overall,
our webinar was successful.
