Reflection Paper                                                                                Webinar Date: November 25, 2022

Webinar Title: “Fundamentals of Sound and Music Production”

I. Details of the event/activity

Our team Studio Pyros organized the webinar on "Fundamentals of Sound and Music Production," which took place last November 25 via Google Meet. Our webinar is completed by Mr. Jen Carlo Napoto, who is the music producer/CEO of XIIVI Productions and the audio engineer at Studio Pyros.

II. Reflections on the webinar/activity give rise to (learnings)

Mr. Jen Carlo chose to share his expertise in sound and music production during the first webinar our team planned. He began by introducing himself and showing the students his creation before going on to describe the tools he used.

After imparting his knowledge, he used FL Studio (a DAW or digital audio workstation) to create a beat and then explained the various sounds he used to create the beat for the music. It took him an hour to complete this step, but the result was amazing music that left the audience in awe. At this point, our webinar came to an end.

III.  Reflections on possibilities on implementing some of the webinar input on a practical level (practical application of learnings)

I believe that this webinar is beneficial for students of the BSEMC because in addition to focusing on graphics, we also produce sound. Since our course is titled "Audio Design and Sound Engineering," this webinar will help the student comprehend the fundamentals of sound and music production.

IV. Positive feedback (on the event organization)

All I can say, as the webinar's organizer, is that Mr. Jen Carlo does a wonderful job at discussing the subject; as a music producer, he undoubtedly understands how to make music from nothing.

V. Suggestions for improvements to be made/consider for future activities

Although there was some technological problem, I believe the webinar went well because the speaker provided an excellent explanation of the subject. Despite our minor struggles, the webinar was still a success.
